And a few of mine from the weekend to keep things ticking along:

1. You've got to look closely to see the "catch":

2. Snakebird:

3. This is what they look like out of the water:

4. Pelicans (of course!)

5.

6.

7. And last of all.... another osprey

Cheers, Frank

@Frankman: From these shots and the ospreys, it looks like your weekend outing was a smashing success. I really like the composition and different background of #4.

Cheers... Brian

Terrific thread. Great quality and variety. Fun! Chthnoiid, I particularly enjoyed your Jacana shots. That's one I've never seen. A great example of evolutionary adaptation..
Frank, the cormorants are as good as I've seen. Well captured.
Here are a few of my efforts from the weekend. I gotta say though, posting on this thread is a bit intimidating!

Lunch time

More lunch time

Catching a few rays

And now, for a little nap!

Keeping the wings dry

Thanks for looking

Thanks Ian. I don't know about that, but I'll take it. LOL
I forgot to post my favorite shot from the weekend. I entered this one in the dpreview Alpha mount portrait challenge. That's just the way it struck me.

Just for fun.

Lovely set Mike - in particular the first and last.

Graham - how did you get the heron to wink at you?
