@chthoniid: Amazing series - I don't think I've ever seen a bird flying with legs that untidy... If I were a bird, I imagine that's how I'd fly.

@Bob J & @wolfy - thanks, Australia has a lot of bird variety and the NT wetlands are a good spot to find them. I'm beguiled by the jacana's feet however. I'd also like to thank Tate for doing a great job looking out for crocodiles while I was peering down the camera viewfinder.

love the #2 shot too. We only have one species of owl here - called the Morepork cos that's what it sounds like he's saying. And very hard to see them at all, but very easy to hear in the bush. Howard |
