Some excellent photos in this thread. A few of my own more modest efforts:

A cheeky Noisy Miner (Manorina melanocephala) feeding from a packet of sugar in the Hunter Valley

18-250 @ 80mm, ISO 100, f/8, 1/100s

Crested Pigeon (Ocyphaps lophotes) at Uluru

18-250 @ 250mm, ISO 400, f/8, 1/160s

Southern Cassowary (Casuarius casuarius) at Australia Zoo (yep, a zoo bird, I cheated )

18-250 @ 55mm, ISO 400, f/5, 1/25s

Shot this on a Sunday afternoon, after spending five hours shooting birds.

Great shots with a small lens. You must have been very close.

Thanks Stan, I was very close. The lens almost touched the feeder.

Always amazed at the shots here. Nice one Serdar and like the face off Wayne. Some Pelicans from above, not an angle I usually get.

Liked the way the shadow gave a sort of polarising effect, especially in 2.

Cheers Brandy.
