Hi chicanelk - yes, the original ones were way too big, but I think that you've gone full scale the opposite direction. Around 800 to 1000 px across or 800 px high is a happy medium (Don't let Brettania scare you... he's just a big softie ).

Fantastic Frank as always, made me think I don't have any flying Galahs yet, must rectify that.
This Silvereye was in my driveway,was just about to lie down on my stomach when he took off. Really do miss the live view on the a350 sometimes.

@Frankman, well those were the sizes available for me on Flickr. I didn't get a reduced size of 800px longest edge

Thanks, however I had a bird specialist have a look and it is an Immature Olive backed oriole apparently.

What many people do is pre-size the shot in processing to something that suits Dyxum. It only adds a few clicks and it gets around Flickr's arbitrary choice of smaller sizes.

Plus if you do this you can apply your own chosen degree of sharpening to the resized image - I always like to sharpen as the last action before saving.
