This Red-backed Fairy-Wren was more than willing to pose for my yesterday morning at the Tweed River NSW Australia... he did everything right posing in front of the @900 and my 70-400mm G lens...

Eagle
Sony A900 | Minolta 300mm/4 G |f7.1|1/5000| ISO 800 I could not believe I made either of these shots. (they are of the same bird) I Grabbed the MinO 300mm off the tripod, raise it up and focus, loosing my balance on a slightly rolling float walk. I managed to stay upright and get the shot. He was slowing down, aiming for a pine tree top, then landed.. .. I had been kneeling down on one knee photographing some Eider ducks I had waited 15 min. to swim past me for a better shot. No, the eagle didn't have 'duck for dinner', this time. This one he was leaving the area Sony A900 | Minolta 300mm/4 G | f7.1 | 1/2000 | ISO 800 Edited by k9tales - 05 January 2011 at 02:07 |
