I was lucky enough that the US Post Master called me to let me know she just saw this owl fly by her window and all she could see were wings. I arrived there in a rush, the owl moved to another tree, it was starting to get dark, I spied it in a low branch of a neighbor's Maple tree. I took a few shot from beneath and a little ways out, then climbed a second floor ourside stairs and was eye level.
It didn't move the whole time I snapped away. And this was my first owl!

Happy New Year To All

My Birthday present from me to me whilst in Singapore a silver beasty 70-400G.
So organize a trip to the Jurong bird park a fantastic facility and well worth the trip unfortunately the weather was not very favourable overcast & rainy & the flying part of the raptor display was cancelled. Have not had a lot of time with this lens and already luv the results compared to my 50-500 Bigma.

Enjoy

yes i read it here on the other side of the world , that you have now a problem with the water and croc`s

but all the aussie`s are ,like "crocodile dundee"
so the crocs are not the problem , but you have also nasty snake`s , and now with the water , they come in the houses , and sleep in your bed

greetings
gustav

I heard about the family of Tawny Owls that have been living for the past few years in a large Horse Chestnut tree in Kensington Gardens, London. Owls are by far my favourites of all animals, so I couldn't resist going to have a look for myself...
