Spotted these chaps lazing in the wood by the river, unfortunately I don`t have the skill/patience of the stunning photography on show in this thread! Its a fairly basic zoom too, the Kalimar but the colours are nice! Dozing  Wakey  Offski  All with Sony A35 and Kalimar 60 -300 at 300mm

 the rather dull yellow-rumped warbler. It looks almost bw and on a grey day, it looks unappealing. Taken with A77 with mino 300 f/2.8 apo lens with 1.4 TC @ ISO=500 exp=1/1600

Nice trio of pics. Particularly like the first Herring Gull - the colour within the bird, the reflection all set against the very dark water. Gives very good atmosphere to the picture.
