Thanks very much for the comments. There are about 25-30 snowy owls out there this year but none were very close to th dyke for pics. Last year they stayed until early spring. Those were taken with a 500 mirror with a 1.4 extender. Hope all is well with your family, Gustav.   Serdar <here's one with exposure adjusted. I think you were right.....

I love photographing Seagulls, especially their portraits. This was taken in Polperro, Cornwall.

I have not been able to get out for a while. (Winterpeg being too cold -20 to -30 degree C days).

Here is one from warmer days in the distant past.

Haven't posted in this thread for a while.

Here are a few shots that I took today of the Rainbow Bee-eaters currently nesting in Aus.

1:

2:

3:

4:

I'm not 100% happy with them as they are all significant crops as we had to be a fair distance from them to use the perch, but still, its a start.

All shot with the A77 + 70-400mm.

Cheers,
Andrew

A77 mounted on the legendary Meyer Optik Görlitz Orestor 135/2.8 lens, wide open. This was my first test-shot with that heavy metal M42-lens.
