@Penphoe - that elephant's trunk shot is not one you see everyday...
Here's some I took at Zoo Atlanta today. All with Sony A700 and 42AM. Most using 70-300G and few with a Tammie 17-50. @fem2008: I really like 3 & 5. Color is great on all of them.
Here are some recent shot from the Pittsburgh Zoo: 1) an Ibix ![]() 2) or two ![]() 3) same two, with the color somewhat better managed, but the composition less pleasant ![]() 4) two Amish gentlemen enjoying the zoo ![]() 5) fish of some kind, eyeing my camera ![]() 6) sunbathing turtle ![]() EXIF is intact, but the first three were shot with an old Soligor 400/6.3 manual focus T-mount lens, with an M42 T-mount attached to an MAF adapter. The remaining shots were either done with the beercan or with Tamron 90/2.8 (turtle & fish were shot with the Tamron). |

Matt,
Thank you very much for the comments. Likewise for your shots. I've been using the Expodisk to set color balance, especially in overcast or shady areas. It really helps with the colors, when I remember to use it.
