I fear that a crunch point is coming if Flickr can't sort themselves out - the bad panda seems to be striking a lot these past few days, and the stats system is becoming a joke with internal discrepancies in numbers. This and a doubling of fees for many users does not make a good recipe for the future.

I publish to Flickr using Lightroom, so all the tags I apply there are replicated on Flickr, enabling me to find e.g. instances of vintage lens use. Of course, the system is only as good as I am ...

Howard - anything is only as strong as the weakest link - and, in this case, I fear that it might not be you!

Take care and best regards, Neil.

Is it just me that EXIF data don't show anymore in Flickr at the moment?

Fred, I noticed this yesterday. Hopefully a temporary glitch.

You're right - odd as I posted an image in the Best of Year on Tuesday I think and it was fine then!

Perhaps it's another 'feature' they are giving us....

Best regards, Neil.

The Flickr help forum is full of posts about the disappearance of EXIF data, and the IT people at Flickr are aware of it and working to restore it. Hopefully...

Just now when I opened Flickr, I saw that I needed to Log On over again, which I did using my email address and password.
On doing so I was directed to a page with new privacy and user agreement protocols, terms and conditions which I accepted.
On doing so, my FlickrPro page opened and now all the EXIF data is back to normal.

Even internet banking has its problems. The digital era has opened unlimited possibilities (unfortunately also for errors). Just accept it as there is nothing you can do about it, the grass is equally yellow at the other side.

I was just wondering if it was just me, but it seems to be solved now indeed.
I accept it, but just worry now and then about our dependency on IT and electronic data
