Hi all
After a eye cup that fits A57/A58 sony A mount camera, I have seen some on other cameras that come out a little from where the eye cap is usually, they are round or elliptical and look as though they would fit your eye socket better ,ie not get as close to the camera but still blocks out the light .Any body know where or who makes them to fit my camera ....tried to find one but failed

thanks

J

The A57 and A58 have slightly different eye cups, but almost all the Sony eye cups mount the same way and are somewhat interchangeable. I bought this one for my A65 for $1.99 shipped.

Sony lists the EP14, EP15, EP16, and EP18 being compatible with the A58
Sony only lists the EP11 as being compatible with the A65/A57

EP11: A65, A57
EP12: A77, A77II, A68
EP13: A99
EP14 & EP15: A58, A7, A7R, A7S, A7II
EP16 & EP18: A58, A99II

I know Hoodman came out with a pair of oversized eye cups that fit the current Sony cameras. One is designed for eyeglasses. I've been wanting to try one of these myself.

Sony also had a magnifier that mounted in place of the hood. I did try one of those and didn't like it.

I do like the Sony FDA-ME1AM magnifying eyepiece, but then I am now a left-eyed shooter with mild cataract (and macular degeneration in the other eye). The 1.15x magnification is not so great that it makes framing more difficult, and the extra extension is welcome. Difficult to find one, however.
