Not in the market as I am really happy with my A7r4, but it makes me wonder what shop and what price. Most Dutch and German shops seem to sell it for 2799,- but I found one that is selling it for 2699,-

I didn't even find the one of 2699...

I'm heavily in doubt: 42 (A7Rii) + 24 (A7iii) Mpix work fine for me. I don't need more, using 2 camera's at a time is the max and you don't need switching lenses very much....
But better AF tracking and some more things are tempting...

The AF is really nice - it really makes a difference - but, what you didn;t experience you do not miss

2699,- is refoto.nl

Oops....

A7Rii-A7iii-A7iV, three out of 4 generations...
But the A7Rii will be sold on Marktplaats. 3 Cameras is a bit too wild for me

But, my version of LR won't open the RAW-files of the A7iv...

Time to upgrade LR

I find the gen 4 ergonomics much better then the gen 2 ergonomics. With one caveat - the gen 4 grip is better to hold firmly, but with a light lens I sometimes think the gen 2 is nicer to hold. But with longer and/or heavier lenses, the gen 4 is better. What do you think?

Enjoy it!

Oops, hadn't thought of that with my LR6

But hey, first impression of eye AF via LA-EA5 is more than fine .
Just pointned at the tv with rapidly changing views.
Quicky catchingthe yes was no problem at all! (I did the update of the firmware).
Let's see what it can do tomorrow with the living statue festival!

Congrats! Sorry for the GAS I may have triggered

Let's align our A7R2 offers on MP, in order not to compete
I will try to sell it as a set with grip, 28-70mm OSS, L-plate, batteries and silicon case.

No need for updating LR, just use the DNG converter and then import the generated DNGs

Congrats to both of you Fred and Harm, enjoy the new toy; happy shooting!

Thanks Michael. I will try the DNG route first before I leave my beloved LR6 behind

Thanks for providing that link .
I'm on LR5 and since getting the a7Riv last year and an a99ii this year , neither work on that with RAW files .
I had been considering Capture One , or trying to figure out how to use darktable (?) But I give that ago .
By the looks of it you can import the full card in one go now , rather than one file at a time .
When you do that does just one DNG file per image get saved on your harddrive or both a DNG and a Sony RAW file get saved . IE , two file for each image ?

( I started reading the website , but as I'm on my phone the writings to small to read !)

There is a trick for that too by copying lens profiles from recent Camera Raw version into the right LR folder.
There must be a post somewhere here (was it Michael too?).
Worked for my Tammy FE 28-200 and FE 20mm lenses.
