No doubt . And the Navy boys probably sang along to a different tune , though I'm not sure an HMS Venus was present |

"Picture Information Extractor 7.45 free"
This software is basically good and useful software, but it doesn't seem to support ILCE-1 yet. This software fails to determine the tag type because it does not support the 9050 tag size changing in ILCE-1 / 7S. What's worse is that it's shortened so it tries to interpret the garbage in the buffer. As a result, "InternalSerial" is wrong. Also, Rawfiletype:Lossless is not supported. And, please add SubSecTime to the list output. This may help to understand the behavior of the camera during continuous shooting. |

Never heard of Picture Information Extractor 7.45 - so, some software does not support a camera that is not even shipping yet in Europe or the US. makes sense, that takes time.
Did google it, you mention it being free, but only the trial is free, it is $29,- |

I use the "Picture Information Extractor 7.45 Free." It is basically a Windows GUI for ExifTool. They say, "Unique multicore control provides the fastest possible access to the ExifTool based metadata engine."
ExifTool added ILCE-1 support with version 12.18. It looks like ExifTool gets installed with PIE in the \Program Files (x86)\Picmeta\PIE folder. Probably just swap the exiftool.exe located there for the current version. I just did it. PIE seems to work fine with the latest version of ExifTool. Thank you! According to the exiftools documentation, this change is from 7SIII, so it's been about four months ago. Consistent with the results of my own program, exififd. It was good to compare with exiftools from the beginning. By the way, my own program has been supporting SubSectTime listing for over 10 years. I noticed that SubSecTime was written in ILCE-1, and going back, it seems that it was implemented from 9II. My program has been poorly maintained for over 20 years and is very unpublishable. However, I want SubSecTime data for continuous shooting. Does anyone know of good publicly available software recommended by others? PIE displays SubSecTime individually but doesn't list them, so it's hard to ask someone else to get the data. The easiest thing to do is to go to the Sony store in Ginza to get the data myself, but I can't because it's a damn virus and I need more than just curiosity to cross the prefectural border. ![]() EDIT: It is an hour by train from Yokohama to Ginza, but there is a prefectural border between them.
