I am wondering if there is an adapter that will allow me to use a lens specifically for the NEX mount on my old A mount Sony A-77… don’t think so, but I thought I would ask. Thank you.

Nope, you cannot use E mount lenses on A mount cameras since E mount is much closer to sensor than A mount, which would mess up focusing even if that would be physically possible.

If it was a manual focus and manual aperture control ( ie, non electronic lens ) and you wanted it for macro , you could glue a piece of an E mount extension tube onto a M42 to A mount adapter and that would allow you to mount the lens on your camera .
As already pointed out , even with the lens set to infinity , you'll be a long way short ! If you wanted to use one for anything other than macro , your also out of luck . |
