Topic: Sony Survey Posted: 17 September 2009 at 17:07 |
I've just had an email in from Sony Europe, asking me to participate in their survey (no doubt all others registered with Sony will get the same email in due course).
Interesting, they are asking for participants ratings on camera size, pixel count, live view, etc., and one question was how important is fast autofocus with a frame rate of 7-10 fps!! Keep an eye open on your emails, and get stuck in! |

I've had a similar email. However, I'm on a really slow GPRS connection at the mo so I can't see much of the survey.
While I am pleased they are even asking such questions, does this mean they are still only designing the A700 replacement or are we looking at the generation beyond even that? Is it coincidencence that we both own an A700 and have both bern sent the survey? I do love a good conspiracy! |

It could be possible, we'll have to kep an eye on any other replies. It also could be a merketing thing as well, since as you complete the survey they automatically link you into your Sony account!!
No doubt, conspiracies are about! |

I have a Nik*n D40 and I got the survey... ok I didn't.
But please tell them I want an a830 with full-frame 18mp, 4.9fps, MLU, in an a700 body with a big hat for the 98% viewfinder, for $1,799 USD. |

I got the survey too. But I'm mostly curious about the results actually.
But I doubt they'll ever seep into the public domain. |

@JeffB95 - I'm aware there is a place in SA called Benoni but my handle derives from its chess usage as an opening variation. Sorry to disappoint.
