... and ends production of A7ii and A6100. Adding these to the existing list that's eight suspended or ended now. It'll be easier to list the cameras that are being made, I guess, but it's surprising how recent some of the cameras are (A7c, ZV-E10).

I think the A6x00 (incl. ZV-E10) and A7c cameras share a component that is hard to get atm.

BTW, the A6400 also is suspended, already since November. It seems they still want to restart production.

I had a chance to discuss it with a friend who is the manager of the biggest photography shop in Israel and it told me that actually all companies are in problem and suspended production of some models, but Sony is the only company that announced it...

The worldwide microchip shortage has crippled production across many industries - particularly electronic consumer goods and motor vehicles. Presumably as the supply chain cranks up, production will resume.
