Thanks for the link - that's a really interesting article and an insight into the 'why' of their thought processes rather than just the 'How' of the achievements; it's also rather surprising to see how many of the staff are considered to be serious photographers as well which goes against much of the commentary about design/structure etc. that we've heard in the past.

What's also even more fascinating is that there is clearly 'more to come' from Sony in both hardware and, probably, the software behind it, and one wonders what Nikon and Canon must be thinking right now. Perhaps that will become clearer (for Nikon at least) after the 23rd of this month?

Interesting article to an extent - but I'm not buying the premise that Sony's neglected to tell their story. In fact, this entire article, and a number of others it in the past, are doing exactly that. And providing little, if any, information about their actual product lines. They've been tailoring their image as the "new, hip" camera company for years.
As far as "vision over profit - riiiiiiiiiiiight.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood.
