One vote for #2 - I find the light even more delicate than in #1!

I've visited the general area last August, had to strike Pioneertown from the schedule due to time constraints, but I kind of regret it since...

Thank you Cucoo! Yes is is Pioneer Town and yes I think that is a young Joshua Tree on the right. I understand it is a member of the Agave family and only grows in s Mojave desert but I'm no expert -- just going by what I've read. I think there are some similarities.

Some oen was so kind as to artistically set up this beautiful still life for me with a cinematic look! Well I guess that figures, as Pioneer Town is an old movie set!
