Maffe, you're monochrome work here inspires me! Such strong blacks made the whites realy stand out with excellent compostition
 How is that RX1 working out as a street-camera? Been on the fence for this cam, but it's price - what you get ratio keeps me hesitant. ThisBig

Makes me really happy that my photos do inspire  The RX1rii is an excellent camera with in it's limitations. It's small, excellent image quality (same as a7rii) and the lens is just amazing, silent. So what's not to like or need to be aware of? Battery life, a big joke can be solved with many batteries and you can find good once on Amazon. Autofocus not so snappy and hunts in bad light, manual focus don't cut it since you don't get hard stops and a dof scale, there is a "hack" to use the macro setting but I don't really think it's an option that works well. Ergonomics, there ain't none  Some customization to that makes it ok.With all this said, it's a great little camera for slower photography, eye focus works well for portraits. Many of my best photos have been made with the rx1 Now I mainly uses it to take photos of our baby, perfect with a 35/2 and eye focus. Now if sony decided to put the internals from a7riv or a7rv and keep the leaf shutter, who am I kidding put the a1 guts in it  Edited by Maffe - 24 March 2023 at 21:05 |
