Warning: Heavy dosage of sunrise

Venice is in middle of a lagoon and hence all the waterways. On my first day there I noticed that the sun rose over the lagoon and decided to catch it the next morning. Looked up the sunrise times on google and I got there just in time.

The good thing about visiting in December is you don't have to wake up at ridiculous hours to catch the sunrise. The downside is you get it plastered all over dyxum

Ah ... to be in Venice!
Bit of an overload perhaps but nice series; #1 is my #1.

Thanks for the comments

Venice is definitely special, but I think it would lose in romantic charm in the high season when it becomes crowded

Thanks for this next serving! The more I see these photos the more I think I should return to Venice.

My clear favorite is #1, the other images seem a bit dark, in contrast. Is that an effect of PP or did the light really change that quick? Concluding from the position of the sun #1 should be darker than all the other images in the series, not vice versa (sorry, I am probably to much inclined to realism).

TFS!

Thanks for the critique.

The light does change pretty quick... But in this case exposing to keep the highlights and also starburst in some cases leaves things in shadows a bit (which I didn't have to do for #1). I could perhaps pull shadows a little more in PP, I just preferred a more silhouetted row boats.
