The Green Flash Monterey California, I've only seen this phenomenon 3 times in my life... VERY difficult to photo.. A850 Zeiss 24-70

I took this last year with my old R1, waiting for the floods to recede in Thailand so I could get my a77. The R1 can do bracketed shots, and is reasonably fast enough. This was taken from the Staten Island Ferry, and was one my first experiments with HDR.

In march of 2011 after years of drought the forest fires came. The sunsets were sometimes eerie, sometimes beautiful.....
