The hard bit is finding a phone box with a phone inside it!

I like the lighting suggestion, but the whole thing is a staging, a product photography approach, and too much of an artifice. He lost me when he started pouring water on the road, and Id argue that the final photo (at around 11.00) has the box too bright.

The final shot is not to my taste either, but I like the shot with the passing car (though I find the starburst a bit distracting). I would also say that documentary photography should (IMO) show the artifact (phone box, building, whatever) in its environment, not posed like this.

Here's a pristine and full working copy next to the V&A museum in London.

A7ii + LA-EA4 + Min 85/1.4 RS G

I can't believe the guy still preferred to use his mobile instead of this historic means to place a call
You can see the April Foolishness 2023 exhibition here Another great show of the talent we have on Dyxum

I looked that one up on Streetview, Pieter, it's less than pristine now!

And here are three boxes we encountered in Oxford during the recent DM

Three Oxford phone boxes

Well, it says it's a phone box.

It was suggested that I post this one here, from a set of stereoscopic images I shot at the village of Irnham, Lincolnshire.

You can no longer make a call but you can help yourself to a book or two
