It's always a delight to find them far from home:

That's a game-changing telephone box. There's a thesis to be written on German vs British telephone boxes ...

And there are even Dutch telephone boxes
They look like this.
It is pretty transparent (as Dutch are supposed to be)

Well, they talk a lot - but if that counts for transparent
Great catch Domien, haven't seen this type for a long time. Was it at the train museum?
When i used it, there were still phone books in, and i also remember the short chain that held the door.

It was at the train museum.
And I do remember the ingenious way the telephone books were stored.
The whole visit to the train museum was a tour through memory lane.
I can recommend it.

Not really a 'box' but what a box morphed into. On one side is rolling advertising, the other a phone. The notice alongside the phone announces that this one will be going out of service in the near future.

Although I posted these in my Antarctic travels post a year ago, they also belong here.
Traditional red phone boxes and cast iron George VI post box outside the GPO in Port Stanley, capital of the Falklands. The phones in the boxes were functional.

This telephone box is in Haaksbergen, The Netherlands. On page 1 is another picture of the same telephone box:

Sony A7r4 | Zeiss Batis 135/2.8 | f/10 | 1/320s | 1000iso

And there is a phone inside, but it doesn't work:

Sony A7r4 | Sigma 28-70/2.8 DG DN | 28mm | f/2.8 | 1/100s | 100iso
