I recently bought the Tamron 150-600 G2. Have not had the time to use it much. Preliminary findings were somewhat of a let down in the sharpness department, especially at 600mm. But this was with an A580. Iíve read that it performs better on full frame. Have not tried it on the A900 yet. What have your finding been?

Do you mind sharing detailed findings for the Tam 150-600 G2 as you have them in future?

Thanks.

I thought of doing that since there are not a lot of G2 reviews on this site. My experience with other long lenses, a second Tamron copy, and the Sony 500 for comparison, puts me in a bit of a unique situation. It will give me an opportunity to better evaluate the Sony too. I may need more time than expected for such a 'shootout' but I think it has value. I am retired now so I have time, just need for a bit of a cool down from the heat wave we are experiencing on the East Coast.
