The Day Prime Challenge 2012

The challenge is to use as many of your lenses as possible in 2012

The idea of this challenge is inspired by Week 50, in which participants shoot with a 50mm lens for the 50th week of the year. This thread is for people to post pictures taken on the appropriate day for their lens - hence shots with a 16mm taken on 16 January, 28mm on 28 January and so on (after January it becomes more difficult but we'll give you the dates).

Rules:

You can use any prime lens you like
You can use any zoom lens you like, but you can only use the zoom ends
You are free to use A-mount and E-mount cameras
You can post as many photos as you like on the the appropriate day
You can only post the photos that were taken on that day
Minimal cropping is allowed, but the photo should reflect the focal length of the lens

Further notes:
Please add EXIF data: camera used, lens used, aperture, exposure, iso
You don't have to sign up: just post your photos on the appropriate day
You can't drop out of this challenge: you decide on the days you want to participate: the challenge is to participate on as many days as you can
It would be nice if you post your better shots also in the Sample Images subforum

There are 2 threads in Day Prime Challenge:

one for the photos and the talk (commenting on each other's contributions is encouraged and appreciated)
one for the thumbnails that all participants can (and are encouraged to) post of their photos linked to the posts containing big versions

This challenge is for everyone! Everyone will learn something and everyone can enjoy it.
If you have not joined before and do not fully understand the guidelines, do not worry. Just start posting and ask as many questions as you want.

HERE ARE THE DAY PRIME DAYS OF 2012, MOST RECENT MONTH FIRST:

Great Darosa, I like 2 and 4 a lot. In 4 the fisheye adds a lot I think to the beauty of the picture.

Thank you! I agee Jet, the distortion in #4 is the most 'successful'.

BTW, it's day 8 today; let's all get the Samyang (Rokinon ....) 8mm from the shelf and do some shooting

Normally we would expect the pictures to be taken on the day itself, but you have a good excuse, so YES

Nice shots Leo, especially #1 for me. The finish of all pictures looks a bit like HDR - is that from incamera-processing or did you do it yourself?

Thanks Gouldina and Robbie. I always shoot RAW. The HDR look is caused by my rather aggressive processing (100% fill light in the raw conversion) . The contrast and the sharpness of this old lens are not spectacular so the photos need a boost to produce a bit of a wow factor when shown on the Internet.
