There may be some medium format 140mm primes around. They are more than welcome.

About your suggestion: any lens with any TC is legit in your free time, for personal use.
But here in the Day Prime Challenge we have RULES.

Plus the fact that it's a bloody Monday again, and the sad fact that it's raining over here; all this combined gives me very negative thoughts on your suggestion, Tim.

Fair enough Leo - I don't think I'd spotted the rules before!
(and I suppose I could concentrate on playing badminton for a change )

And maybe your fellow players won't mind seeing you without camera for once ...
Have a great game Tim!

I have the Mamiya 140mm Macro lens - a great one! But I don't have adapter from Mamiya RB to a-mount...

That a 67 lens Shay? Maybe shoot a roll for the Film Challenge and post one shot here later?
Is there no adapter?

Just hold it in place Shay, maybe wrapping the mount in black cloth - you should be able to get something to work

Like this?
I high doubt I will be able to shot and process before leaving to Israel next week...
There was a discussion about adapter here - there is no commercial one (at least not reasonably priced) and it is beyond my skills (and time limits) to build something.

I just wanted to mention that there are 140mm lenses...

I was too embarrassed with my results to post on 135 day, sorry. I look forward now to 150mm day. Hope I have my NEX adapter in time. But these mid week outings are sure tough for the working man.
Regards,

woodrim

Tomorrow is Thursday May 30,
and that's:
DAY 150

Very nice day for medium format lenses: Mamiya 645, Pentax 67, ...
But not only the big boys can play.
There's a sweet little Olympus PenF 150mm (halfframe) that begs to be taken for a walk tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to using my Mamiya 150/3.5 with a Mirex T/S adapter on my new A99.

And: woodrim, I hope you can make up for Day 135 tomorrow!

Thanks for thinking about me. An adapter to allow Sony A to NEX arrived in the mail yesterday, so I'll be using my Kaleinar 150/2.8 as long as the weather holds out and I can get away. I chose to go with that adapter over the more expensive P-6 to NEX since I already had the lens adapted to the A-mount. 135mm day was depressing; I only made it out late and just wandered the yard taking pictures of leaves, flowers and twigs... couldn't even find a lizard. Pathetic.
Regards,

woodrim

A99 + Mamiya (645) 150/3.5, with Mirex Tilt-shift adapter at max tilt.

The Mirex is the only adapter I have for this lens so I decided to play with tilt a bit. I am extremely pleased with the ease of focusing with the A99. At max tilt and the lens wide open, focusing used to be quite a challenge even on the A900.

All shot on the graveyard "Oud Eik en Duinen" (Old Oak and Dunes) in The Hague.

I set a personal record last evening for the most consecutive out-of-focus shots. Again, I didn't get out until the Sun was setting, so processing was also challenging. Or maybe it was the wine before going out.

NEX-5N and Kaleinar 150/2.8

woodrim
