Scanning will be my bottleneck. I have a Canon flatbed that is far from ideal. Perhaps scanning from the lab (whatever that may be). I need to do some homework.

Both Hema and Kruidvat offer scanning when you let them develop your film. Never used them though.

I have used them both in the past. It's fairly basic scanning what they do with resolution not extremely high. (and Kruidvat managed to lose one of my films for a couple of weeks).

Yes, Iíll join this. Iíll start with a Dynax 9, I think. Iíd also like to use my Autocord and then an Instant film camera (possibly an SX-70). I recently received a Pixl-Latr negative holder for camera-based negative scanning so Iím looking forward to putting that to good use. (It might mean finding very short rolls of 35mm film!)

Delighted to see the challenge back!

Anyone ever use the Lomography lab? I bought Lomo purple film from them and they develop and scan but they warn for long lead times due to corona..

All sounds good!

I heard yesterday that 35mmc are posting some of my analogue camera reviews over the next month - starting with one of a Spotmatic F, then going on to an SRT 101 and (in October) a review/comparison of the Dynax 5 and Dynax 60...

You have to send it to Vienna it seems. You probably can drop it off somewhere close. Or you can use Fotowereld in Utrecht, they have a send in option.

I enjoyed your Dynax 7 review, and there are several other Minolta film camera reviews on the site, see https://www.35mmc.com/19/05/2019/camera-lens-film-and-peripheral-kit-reviews/ for an index.

I'm going to play this time. I've just loaded my 9 with some Velvia... and I have some new glass I want to try with it. We'll see what comes after that... Maybe medium format, maybe MD Minolta or maybe something completely different
(Also I've found an excellent local film lab that does b&w, c41 and e6 processing so that headache has been sorted.)
There is nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing, as simply messing about in boats

You wrote a great piece for 35mmc on my go-to film camera, the Dynax 7.

Edit: Oops! After posting this I got down to Howard's post who had already said the same. Never mind. Still a great piece

Originally the review was going to be of the 7 and the 60, but early on I came to realise that the 60 wasn't really in the same class... in fact being a slight downgrade on the 5 in some ways - So I bought myself another 5 and did the comparison between the two of those.

I stress I'm still a fan of the 5 and 60 though...

Apart from the 300 f4, large beercan and 17-35 f2.8-4 D these are my remaining A-mount lenses which is what I have for my film cameras. I have no primes left.

Not sure which one to use on my Dynax 7 for this challenge (I know I can use them all but I'm planning to just stick with one zoom lens). Leaning towards the 35-105. What do you think?

After posting this I shall set to with the Auto-Glym and return the zoom rings to pristine black again.
