They certainly could be fake but if they are whoever did them was very attentive to detail. For example, note in the rear view how the black border on the LCD is much wider on the right than on the left. If you look closely at the "real" leaked photos on SAR you will notice this is consistent. It doesn't exactly jump out at you in the "real" photos though so I would think there would have been a pretty good chance someone faking these would have missed that.

Faking images with this amount of detail takes a LOT of man hours.
They certainly look like all other leaked Sony product shots that turned out to be true so there is consistency.

I'd rather see leaked shots from the camera than of the camera.

That doesn't mean anything. Here is an official A700 picture from Dpreview, saved at 65% jpeg compression from the same site, and it looks even more "fake": link to test

Oh get off it fake versus not. Have you people really been paying attention? This is the camera you have been desperately striving for for yearsACCEPT IT. Just spontaneously combust from all the pent up excitement already?! Would ya? There is no satisfying you people for real. Ridiculous.

I haven't seen so much excitement about an obvious hoax (that fake photo a few pages back) since the 'Balloon Boy'.

Actually no, I couldn't care less about this camera as it is APS-C. The only reason I am paying any attention at all is because I want to know where Sony is heading on their FF roadmap and I may be able to infer some things from looking at the a77.

A lot of people such as Sybersitizen will soon be eating humble pie for not recognizing the obvious real deal (as in finalized official design).

I remember the same discussion going on with the first leaks of A55/A33 pictures, showing heavy compression artifacts that were mistaken for a "clear" Photoshop hoax.

I'm amazed that anyone would think this is a 'fake.'

I don't want to get banned so I'll leave it at that.

Did you see the humor button on the back of the camera? OR it was just my imagination? And did you know ? -The sarcasm system processor with the impersonal ego detection feature is new to it. Oh and it's syncopation upon posting feature to general censoring moderation modulating module is always on. Imagine that?- Nice touch.

I'm with you Dave! yes it's interesting! I don't care for APS-C either, in-fact I'm surprised they are still making it. I see all manufacturers are filling out another niche now to fund the big daddy FF Lineup and lenses. I figured this would have ended in (alphaville) with the a77. Drop the crop and go Full Frame in this body now That would be a leap forward for sure! But alas everybody wants their strawberries year round so on it goes. I must say both models look to fit the bill for these users with video and ooh that tilt swivel screen.
