I'm inclined to believe they're real too.
Metering mode I can live with. SS I agree is unfortunate. As long as both are available via Quick Navi (hopefully that's retained or improved upon) I'll be okay with it though. |

It's a huge fake... just copy the image and zoom a bit on your pc...
You'll the noise around the letters and symbols area in rectangular shape... more visible on the grip... the dial button is also "curved"... ![]() It's a fake! Edited by Falcon75 - 13 July 2011 at 17:24 |

also... the navi-stick doesn't look like the navi-stick of old... it looks more like a button and the up-down-left-right around the button is press-able.
that would suck if sony took out the navi-stick |

It seems to have a pop-up flash button on the L/H side of the mount (not had that before at this level - does the a580 have one?).
The hinge on the back is odd - it suggests either that it is created from two sources, or that the screen is capable of articulating up and being visible over the top of the camera (as long as you don't use a flash). I'm not totally convinced by the engravings on the angled AF selector. Not entirely sure, but I'm left a little skeptical. |

After looking at the prism humps a bit more, the new pic could be the A65. This pic explains the hinge, too:

If you brighten up the photo that douglasf13 posted above there does appear to be something in that location so that seems consistent. My A55 has this button. Not really keen on it personally. I'd rather have the manual lift type like on the A700. |

if this is for real, has anyone thought that maybe it's the A65 instead of the A77?

in fact, if you look at the photos of the A77 mock up's top deck where the LCD is, it only has two buttons. The photos we've been shown today seem to show more than that, and in the confirmed real photos of the A77 & 65 from SAR, the A65 is the one with several buttons along the top deck.
Obviously i could be wrong, but something keeps nagging at me that this is the A65. |

the focus dial in the lower front of the camera looks horribly distorted.

Maybe, but... The A77 is supposed to have at least some magnesium alloy body parts and the A65 won't have any according to SAR. I don't think Sony has ever used the type of strap lug shown in the photos on a body that wasn't magnesium alloy. |
