After a brief fling with Fuji and some older manual lenses, I'm back in alpha land.

Body

Sony a33 (used, with less than 9k actuations)

Lenses

Minolta 24-85 RS
Minolta 50mm 1.7 RS
Minolta 100-300 APO

For now... Not bad for less than £250 total. Which will be mostly covered by selling my Fuji X-E1, never mind the lenses. Sony has always been great value.

Indeed. It's hard to stop once you're back in our world. I've always liked the 24-85 RS too.

After 5+ years, it is interesting to look back at this previous post. "Good old times" feelings popping up, seeing CZ135, Minolta 28/2, etc. in there. I also have fond memories of the a900-years .

Back then, I noticed the recently acquired e-mount got more and more use, and by now, the situation is reversed: mainly e-mount, and just an a100 left for the moments I want to experience the dslr mirror sound and feeling again.

Although a-mount has provided me a lot of fun, I am sticking to e-mount now. A7-II and A6000 are a perfect twin set for my purposes, and the Nex-5N with its touchscreen is still getting a lot of use for video.

And I am finally succeeding in reducing the number of lenses.

These are gone now :
CZ24
α50
CZ135
Minolta 28/2
Minolta 24-85 RS
Σ18-250
a700

Staying for now :

α700 + grip
α58 flash

α35/1.8
CZ85
α100 macro
M 500/8

Σ 8-16 HSM
CZ 16-80
M 28-75 D
CZ 24-70 SSM
α 70-200 G SSM
α 70-400 G SSM

Staying :

Nex-5N
e18-200
e16 2.8
x0.75 TC

And this last tiny kit gets more and more use...
α7RIII 24-105G 70-200G SY35/2.8 SY45/1.8 85/1.8 ~~~ RX10 IV ~~~ Nex-5 16-70/4 ~~~ α100 50/1.4 24-105 ~~~ HX60V

Edit: 3 Jan 18 - Since this thread is under A-mount lenses it I have deleted my previous list.
I have sold/traded all of my digital A-mount cameras and lenses and will be using Sony E-mount from now.

Trouble is finding somewhere to put them all. Preferably somewhere out of sight of my wife ...

<Sigh> I guess I will have to sell a few more.

I posted on this thread a few years ago, since then I have acquired a bit more gear. I almost exclusively do concert photography on small, dark stages (e.g. dive bars), but on occasion I find myself in a well lit big venue or daytime outdoor show. In either case I have my a99ii with the VG.

For the small dark stages:
  • Zeiss 24/2
  • Minolta 35/1.4G
  • Zeiss 50/1.4
  • Minolta 85/1.4G

The above comprise 90% of all the photos I take, with the Zeiss 50 used for probably half. I really like the a99ii with the Zeiss 50! If I get a wild hair I might bring my Rokkor 58/1.2 :)

For larger and better lit stages, I might substitute (or augment) with:
  • Tamron 15-30/2.8
  • Sigma 35/1.4 Art
  • Tamron 85/1.8
  • Zeiss 135/1.8
  • Sony 135/STF
  • Minolta beercan

I might bring my Samyang or Sigma fisheye as well.
α99ii • lenses used incorrectly ➜ roXplosion!
