Thanks, and now I see, I was wrong, I was talking about the Sigma 16mm for E mount, not FE 17mm. I did not check the 11mm lens yet. I have to say I am not a real wide angle shooter, if my kit starts at 24mm or 28mm (in FF dimensions), I think I am good.

Ah, the 16/1.4 is highly regarded and you would be happy most likely. The focal length is not for me (I much prefer a 28mm eq) and it is a bit heavy. But the results are good. Nicely compliments your 56mm

A lense with a large diaphragma: f2,8 and larger (smaller number).
The most general answer, I guess.

And focal length? Depends on what to shoot...

My modest 2cents.
Harm with 2 camera's and too many lenses.

That very much depends on what you are shooting - still or moving scenes, for example - or street photography vs. architecture at night. There are lots of possibilities.

I am rather inclined to shoot quiet, empty, liveless scenes at night (well, everyone is sleeping ...) and I am using a tripod for low ISO, low noise but rather long exposures. I try to shun artificial lighting and I am not a fan of "sunstars" that come with it if you stop down to enhance depth of field. I'd rather use WA primes or zooms that are (relatively) sharp into the corners wide open. But there are always compromises (and there is Photoshop for PP). Zooms generally might be helpful for composition - with a tripod and the option to use long exposures almost any lens will work.

After almost exactly 5 years my trusty 200-600mm has been replaced. Its the longest that I have owned any single lens and I was really sad to see it go. I traded it in for the sigma 500mm f5.6.

I have a love-hate relationship with 200-600mm. I always loved the results from it and just hated the idea of carrying it around anywhere.

Sigma 500mm f5.6 is my first long teleprime. Very excited to test it out...
Its been on one outing so far and that was an airshow. Still need to process the results. Will be posting soon

Will be interested in your impressions @nandbytes. It's the first long prime-telephoto available that isn't manufactured by Sony we have. The price is pretty attractive too.
