@mariuszlo ... you've been all over the country for this challenge! Color and B&W. My favorites are the WTS station and the Brooklyn bridge shots. Fun to see some SoCal images too -- you don't see that often here at Dyxum unless I'm posting!

I hope to be posting mine in the next week or so. I have a couple of frames left in my camera (still!).

While I wait for my film to be processed, here are some comments on images that have been posted thus far:

@Howard_S
Your color pics posted in late January remind me that much of the world looks the same — I call America “Generica” sometimes because the malls all can look alike. They look the same in the UK too! I do like the lines on your escalator shot (HS-1-1), and the vanishing point view of Westgate Centre (HS-1-3).

I prefer the feel of your black and white images. With color, I expect super clean digital images nowadays. With B&W, I still think of film looks. I love the wintery scenes of HS-2-8 and HS-2-9. We had a cold winter in southern California this year, but it never looks like this!

Your Polaroids are very nice too. I like the square format and I like the Blavatnik detail image the best, although this could be from anywhere in the world.

I like the contrast between the Polaroid temple shot vs. the original image.

And wow, a second set of color images. The Cherwell River shot is my favorite of these.

@Hike Pics
Fun set of images. I’m glad you had a chance to break out film again!! No “Generica” here. There is definitely a “not in California” feel to your shots, especially the church (3066-24), the berries, whatever they are (3066-02) and the sled (3066-14).

From your B&W set, I like number 8. What is that? I like the vanishing point rocking chairs (12) and the CJ Harris building (23). The low key nature of 23 makes it look especially creepy.

@alanfrombangor
I love the super vintage look of these images. They look like they could have been taken decades ago! The square format is always nice, and the soft focus adds to the old school nature of everything.

@4paul
I like the variety of your shots, from the BIF hawk (2 RTH overhead), to all of the wall art — fun to see east coast graffiti styles. Unfortunately, I don’t think any of my shots included any graffiti this time. Not did I do a selfie. I should have!!

@mariuszlo
Classic NYC-area shots with the Provia slide film. I like the Jersey Marina shot the best, although, could be anywhere, right? Your midtown Manhattan shot is very nice too. As I mentioned in a previous post, I like the lines and patterns of the Brooklyn bridge shots.

And then I see SoCal! Those Huntington Library shots are nice, love those colors.

Your black and white shoots with the wide lens are awesome! Again Brooklyn Bridge and the WTS subway station are my favorites.

@mariuszlo - 2 wonderful sets here! With the Ilford set, WTS and Brownstones are my my favs as well as your grandson shot. I'm a backwoods-nature-off the grid kinda person and the sparrow feels like home to me.

The Ektar set, the mountain shots are super and the cottage shot is cool and mysterious!

I also have a question. Your Maxxum 5. This was the first time shooting my 5 and experiencing that Eye Start thing. I'm still undecided if I like it or just not used to it. While I was shooting that roll and focusing on a still object the lens just kept on clacking and was a bit distracting. I made sure it was set to Single Shot AF. I guess I need to work with it more. Do you have your enabled or off?

@ADub128 - THANKS for your kind comments! The berry shot plant is Barberry and the plant in the B&W set is "Little Kitten Maiden Grass". The last shot of the steps, actually, is more to my personal kind of shooting. I seem to have an interest in shooting dark, worn and deteriorating scenes. I think it's the contrasts and textures I like so well.

Hike Pics, thanks for your comments.
As for the Maxxum 5, I always have this option turned off.
