Fred got me in the mood for some beach photos. Last week in Schoorl and now playing around with the BW NIK plugin in CS6.

And the last one is from last year in Roscoff Brittany.

Great images!
The last one is my absolute favorite - the b/w processing is excellent, as is the light - the mixture of clouds and some sunshine! Unfortunately it's rotated CW a bit.

TFS!

@Fred_S, a lovely set of monochrome seaside images. They are all beautifully composed and rendered, and though it's hard to pick favourites, ##5 and 6 are particularly appealing to me. TFS.

Thanks Joe!

I think we felt the same cold, but it seems we enjoyed the seaside in a similar way. Schoorl is not that far from Egmond where I took the pics. Great pics, and nicely converted in B&W.

I hadn't looked at it like that, but you are right! "Facebook", nice idea for a new Themed View, Challenge or even DPC ?

What's the background here? Piles of sand?

At first I thought it was a photoshopped picture, where a "canvas" effect was applied on the background xD
