Wonderful image, and these fine black volcanic sand beaches in NZ are so photogenic. Although I recall a New Zealander telling me they are murder on the bare feet in the heat of summer, being perfect for absorbing and re-radiating the thermal energy.
As for 'The Piano', a memorable movie in all sorts of respects although my piano playing wife couldn't cope with the depiction of a flotsam piano washed up on this beach being in perfect tune when it was first played, after having supposedly been through a shipwreck and being washed ashore.

Ngā mihi @Jozioau

I think NZ is a good place if you enjoy landscape photography. The combination of geological factors- including the volcanoes- makes for a lot of interesting terrain. And the relatively small population means you can often compose shots easily, without human structures or presence.

I can also confirm that walking on these black sands in bare feet in summer is really not a good idea!
