I like this ^^, very gritty! The missing canvas in the frame, the smeared windows just hinting at what is outside and the general deteriation of the furniture add up for a very atmospheric photo, nicely done!
You win or you learn....

Thank you bigsi,
yes I assume thats what the place looked like the day the occupants walked out the door and left for good. The Park rangers are careful these places are undisturbed. Regular visitors are not allowed inside buildings and they have to leave the Park by 6pm.
Cause thats when the ghosts come out
Pun intende: ha ha

Yes, somehow the photo looks more poignant in B&W

Thank you Pieter,
It was very interesting and captivating, so much so I went back a 2nd time (not an easy place to get to)!
I remember it was also the 1st time I really saw the night sky ✨

Thanks for this. I visited Bodie in the 1990s - an atmospheric place indeed. I wonder if I can find my photos and make some scans.

Thank you Howard, hope you find them and share with us. I have a couple of albums (obviously). One in color and one in B&W. Funny, the same photo in color gets no reactions. My 1st trip was in 2016 and my 2nd in 2017. It would be interesting to see the differences between the 90's and 2016, if any
