Inspired by the latest Black and White Challenge and the quality of images posted, I suggested the Mods should set up a dedicated thread to the art. Only to be reminded by @pegelli of this rich Themed Views thread that's been going since 2007.

Having never posted to it, I intend to remedy the situation.
Starting with scanned B&W negative film images taken in the 1970s using my Minolta SRT101 with Rokkor 50mm f1.4 lens, Rokkor 28mm f3.5 or Soligor 90-230mm f4.5.

Great art, Joe! I love the London image, and the Mykonos images are equally superb! My favorites are #6, #7, #13 and #16 - lovely portraits exemplifying the simplicities of life!

TFS!

A marvelous dive into the archives.
#6 and #16 stand out in a high-level selection.

Agree, very cinematic, any of them could be a frame from a movie save the vertical framing.

The frame from London especially.

The first, from London I like a lot. A very photogenic street. And nr 6 a very beautifull scene well captured. I love shots from the past.

The SAL 300mm f2.8 G SSM I bought second hand years ago for wildlife and sports, but sold on after finding I had very rarely used it.
