Graham, I thought it looked like some mechanical monster from a steam punk novel or maybe H.G Wells, hence the title "sentinel" I thought I had cropped it pretty tight anyway - do you mean cropping either side of the crane?

Anyway here's a couple of my dog Sam who likes to come with me to other peoples houses and steal their dog's bones. In hindsight I should of shot with a higher shutter speed to eliminate blur but I still like the shots:

Stevo

Just wondered whether if you took out the cropped out little more on the left hand side (as you look at it)so the sentinel appears to have come into the picture from there - emerging from that side to give further illusion of movement.

Sam obviously enjoys his bone - quite like the blur in the picture.

Really lovely picture and atmosphere. Also like the texture of the hair around his/her ears. How you finding the Nex7?

Well thanks a lot Graham, I appreciate your feedback. Jess(tis a her) is a working Cocker Spaniel. Fantastic dog, but I'm biased

" How you finding the Nex7? "

So far so good Graham. I find it brilliant when out walking with my 2 dogs. If necessary I can use it single handed while holding dog leads not purist stuff but needs must. When matched with the cz 24mm 1.8 it is capable of super IQ. The small form factor and low weight are very appealing when walking around all day with a camera around your neck.

I have the NEX 5n with the accessory EVF as well, also a superb little camera but the extra controls of the NEX 7 and the built in EVF (less susceptible to damage) certainly make for better handling.
