Just had a real good rummage through this amazingly comprehensive list of theme views (and also dipped into some threads).  Lots of inspiration for my portfolio build (#TagThievery).  

Below are some additional thread ideas to consider plus some potential renames (as per the clarity drive).  I can't initiate any of these (yet) as I'm not Sony until on/around 04 January 2021:

New ideas (same outline, one good shot per person per day max)
Café / brief:  cafés from the outside or inside, capture the scene and atmosphere (get your wide angles and bokeh optics ready)
Compacts / brief:  shots taken with Minolta, Konica Minolta, or Sony, digital compact cameras (allowed here but nowhere else, pretty please)
Hats / brief:  hats and other head gear
Hobby / brief:  your non-photo hobbies
Indie / brief:  indie shop windows or indie shop insides, no chains, just the local one-offs doing it different
Shoes / brief:  shoe art (this is apparently a thing!)
Sony / brief:  ANYTHING with a Sony label (e.g. Walkman, headphones, compact cameras, hi-fi)
Trains / brief:  um, trains y'all
Xperia / brief: shots taken with a Sony Xperia smartphone!?

Clearer one-word re-name:
Boats (in lieu of "yachts ...", does 'boats' cover all that lot better?)
Fog (in lieu of "shot in the fog"
Fruit (in lieu of "The Fruit Thread'
Gear (in lieu of "photo gear pron ...")

Scope?
OTD (on this day) - wonder if this could be extended to 'any' year and not just one year ago today?

How do you know when to clip the old threads and make a (2) version?  Is it at when they reach page 15?  And just imagine if this was the 'gram we'd be on page (34,595,978) of coffee by now!

I was hoping to use the theme index as a prompt, I'm not convinced that if I was to post a photo of a boat I would look for a yacht thread. They're all boats to me (but I'd understand if they are all 'seagoing vessels' (two words) or all 'ships' to others. Wondering which terms are better understood to all nations, I find yacht weirdly difficult to spell.
