I bought the Tilt-shift eBook mentioned in the post. It's a really nice introduction to exactly what you can do with a tilt-shift lens, and how to do it. I'm looking forward to that Samyang lens coming out next year!

I purchased the Rokinon version of the Samtang/Bower TS.

T-S 24mm F/3.5. It is about $730 to $800 new on ebay.

I think it works very well when stopped down to f/5.6 or lower. Nice manual lens even when shooting as a normal straight-on lens.

I also have the Samyang 24 f:3.5 TS.

I mostly use it for architecture and panoramic views (shift function @f:11 on the A99ii).

I really do not have any use of the tilt function or higher apertures for the moment so I cannot tell much about that lens in general. And I have never used the Canon TS lenses so I do not have any comparison point. But for what I do with it, very specifically, it is a nice lens to have!
