Hello all,

Before I keep going down the Alice In Wonderland rabbit hole, I figured I'd ask here. I recently bought a Trigger from Profoto to use with 2 of their B1 500's. I bought the trigger to use HSS. I was having issues prior when triggering the strobes as slaves to my triggering Sony Flash.

I thought getting a proprietary trigger from them would enable the HSS but I am still not able to. I dove in to the a99's menu to check if there is an option that may assist in this but had no luck.

I went in to the Profoto website and updated both of the strobes as well as the new Air Trigger firmware.

The highest I can go is 1/250 and then I get the infamous "curtain".

Any thoughts or suggestions?

sorry you didn't receive too many answers, yet. for what it's worth- I too experienced simular issues with camera (A99) and (DEDICATED!) Sony (hvl58 / hvl60)- & Minolta (5600hs) flashguns. the latter on a cord, not even a trigger added yet -to keep it very 'simple'-.
long story 'short'?
after viewing every option A99 had to offer - many :) -, trying different cords/flashguns, even ruminating every letter, written in the manuals, I coincidentally found that the swivel heads of the flashguns were slighty tilted upwards. like 0.0000001 degrees or so (seriously, hardly noticeable).
clicked it back and, out of the blue, miraculously, HSS appeared on the menu. nothing short of a miracle.

very best of luck! and pls keep us posted??
rocket science it is.
(my fave kind of rocket science)

Which one?

Profoto's description says the only A-mount camera supported by this one is the A99II, which seems kind of weird. Maybe that's true, maybe it's not.
