I've checked out the new equipment table, and it's a neat way to see all the Minolta/Konica Minolta/Sony Alpha cameras in one place. I like how they've organized it by release year, makes it easy to track the evolution of these cameras. If you're looking for more in-depth info on a specific camera, the thumbnail links and external resources seem really handy.

Sometimes they are released by the companies when it no longer makes a difference, or they get out in other ways. Olympus published their original 35mm Pen production numbers -- by MONTH -- after they stopped making them, for example.

Nope

Mind that not every manufacturer will release such production or sales numbers to the general public, even though the exact amount of pre-production, pilot ramp-up and mass production samples are known internally.

Has anyone seen any production or sales numbers -- by year -- from Minolta or Sony on their digital cameras, broken down by model #?

I know Minolta and Sony have those figures (or estimates), but have they been published?

The camera index doesn't look like it has been updated for quite some time.

Not only are various models missing, but there are some obvious errors, like the output resolution for the A7R4 is shown as the same as the A7R3. Did report it some time ago, but nothing has been changed. Also the A6600 shows a built in flash, which is incorrect.

A7C and A7SIII are also missing. Not sure if FX3 fits.

True, but not quite as glaring an omission as the A1.

My local camera shop here in the UK, only lists the A99ii and that is only for backorder. They show only 15 A mount lenses, one tamron and the rest Sony.

Looks like they are just selling off any remaining stock they have.

It seems to be while they still have stock somewhere in the region, they continue to list the product in that region. They may have not manufactured A-mount gear in years. Their Japanese website listed the DT 16-105 as discontinued quite some time ago, but it is still listed on sony.com. The A68 wasn't even released in Japan.

The Sony 70-300 SSM II is still missing from the main listing on sony.com. The previous version is still available from many dealers.

Just went to the Sony USA site and they list the following cameras:

A-Mount
A68, A77II, A99II

E-Mount
A5100, A6000, A6100, A6300, A6400, A6500, A6600
A7, A7S, A7R, A7II, A7SII, A7RII, A7III, A7SIII, A7RIII, A7RIV
A9, A9II, A7C

Yet when you go to B&H Photo for example, the A68 is discontinued, as are A7, A7S, A7R, etc... weird.
http://www.misterbsphotography.com, A99, A7II, A77II, A700, Lens ... too many to list. :-)

Hmmm. Sounds very confusing. I recently picked up a used A99 and happened to notice that it was still listed here as 'Current' and I'm pretty sure you can't buy a new one anymore. It was introduced in 2012. There's an A99II now ...

Didn't mean to shake the tree. Also didn't know it was so complicated. :-}

Interesting. They still list the A3000, A58, and QX1 too.

https://www.sony.jp/ichigan/lineup/

Doesn't list those nor the A7R, A6500, A6300, A5100, and A5000.
