... and from rainy mountains way above sealevel (and tree line) to a few meters under sealevel. Our 'backyard' in the Alblasserwaard; Kinderdijk.
We live (partly) in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, very near this location. Our village once was called 'Hendrik-Ido-Oostendam-Schildmanskinderen-Groot-en-Klein-Sandelingen-Ambacht' But forget this non-info. It's all about landscapes and this is where I grew up. ![]() Sony A700 Sigma 10-20mm @ 10mm 1/320 f=8 ISO 200 |

Most interesting pic, der dickgg! I like that minimal composition a lat, maybe even more if you bumped the contrast a bit and maybe trimmed the edges so the slope runs exactly from corner to corner. I'm just being fussy though.
On another note, this page is a wonderful gallery! |

Seeing your photo brought back similarly lovely memories - we also stayed in Salen and of course when you drive/walk past these boats and the water the mind is alive with possibilities!! Without making this a Salen boats thread, one last one: ![]() Cheers! Daniel |

Thanks Daniel, for sharing this picture! It brings nice memories of a good stay on the Isle of Mull at Glenforsa Hotel, just east of Salen. Hope to visit the Inner Hebrides again.
Once again, thanks. |
