Dear Dyxumers,

I've just finished counting votes and I am pleased to announce the photo which won the competition which was very tough this time - the winner was only 1 point ahead of the competing shot ...

"Alien World - Planet Soap Bubble" by fem2008

The photo which almost got the prize but which gets the Honourable Mention instead is:

"Frozen in Time" by mikey2000

We would also like to award with HM the following photo:

"Cluster of straws" by napo

Congratulations to the winner and the HMs and thank you all for voting and participation in this DPC ...

Happy shooting,
MiPr

Fantastic, imaginative shots. Grats to the three of you and a round of applause to the winner. A beautiful image.

   How chuffed am I???

I must admit to seeing fem2008's pic and thinking 'winner' at the very first glance. Strangely, I thought the same thing for Napo's pic too!

Probably three of the best images ever shown on dyxum!

If it weren't for the simply "femtastic" bubble, both HMs would have surely won any other day.

All three are top shots but the top prize I think went to the very best of the three. Great showing of talents all around!

Wow! Thank you very much. This is a nice surprise. Congrats to Mike and George as well.

To Be honest, when I first noticed the DPC, I saw Napo's photo and thought there is no way I can win this one. Then when I uploaded mine I saw Mike's and thought I was doomed. Nice too see it was a tight race. Many of you made me work harder, so thanks again
