Happy Christmas! I won't show you the pic of our little family christmas tree - our 4 year old decorated it single handedly. Let's just say, it has a Santa bobble hat on top instead of a star or fairy...

    This is Gallion's Hill, brand new, made not by druids, but by Tilfen Ltd, from here you can see all the town below you...


    Thamesmead is very flat and low near the Thames where it widens out, but the developers put in a large round hill and made a spiral path up to it... On a clear Christmas Eve I went up and got a lovely view of clear skies to the west. I was also entertained by the gentlemen on the right, who happily sang away about Jesus as he danced on the very top of the hill. It was a bit surreal, but it seemed quite apt.

    Probably a tad different from the northern hemisphere but this would be the standout shot from christmas 2014 for me.
