Mathieu,
More excellent work. Nice compositions! So odd seeing a UP locomotive leading a NS train in New York!

Thanks! Nope, the NKP only went as far east as Buffalo, NY. Where this photo was taken is a former Erie line.

Today evening I traveled from Kouvola to Helsinki by train and luckily I arrived at the station early enough to see the vintage heavy steam locomotive Hr1 "Ukko-Pekka" 1009 on the end of a train that runs semi-regular tourist trips between Kouvola and Heinola (latter is not part of regular VR passanger trafic, btw) and occasional charter tours.

The vintage train soon left the track one

α7R + CZ 24-70/4 @ 24 mm, f/10, 1/200 s, ISO 100

And soon appeared on the track between these passanger railway cars and Sr1 electric locomotives (and just too soon before my train arrived so I couldn't go to the closer platform to have better look)

Beautiful, Mathieu! It appears that someone has built a deck right next to the rails! That would be sweet for a railfan!
