I have put together test-pics from december, when I got the 400G.
There are pics taken with tripod as well as handheld. I've also submitted some 100% crops.
Full Exif details on all pics.

400mm was my favorite lens. I parted with it to get my 600mm. I miss that sweet lens a lot though...
