Dear Dyxumers,

Eventually I managed to finish vote counting and I am pleased to announce the photo which won the competition this time ...

"Daily duty" by EdwinB

As usual we have also Honourable Mention awards which go to:

"Writers Block" by owenn01

and

"Time does not forgive" by oliverdegante

Congratulations to the winner and the HMs and thank you all for voting and participation in this DPC ...

Happy shooting,
MiPr

Hi Edwin,

I knew this was the one to beat as soon as I saw it... A great interpretation and mundane doesn't even come close...

Well done to oliverdegante as well for a very different and moody interpretation.

Well done to all the other finalists and I'm pleased to actually get this far for once (I don't usually pass the prescreen!).

Best regards, Neil.

Isn't interesting how the three best Mundane photos turned out to be in B&W.... Top photos and the voters chose wisely in this DPC

Congrats all 3! Like Mike says, mundane is best shown in BW.

Great shots: Edwin's photo of the happily emancipated male and oliverdegante's poignant shot of the discomforts of old age; my personal preference is Neil's shot as this shows only mundane things and therefore is the best interpretation of the theme imo.
