I've had this Zeiss for 3 days now.

As expected from reviews and the bunch of user reviews I've read, this lens is extremely sharp - which is it's primary strength along with the highly versatile zoom range.

I've not seen any vignetting yet, not even at 16mm f3.5, other than when I attach two filters... which is quite natural. :)

But I have noticed the ugly face of chromatic aberration - but it's mostly only noticeable at 75%-100%, and typically seen at about 2 pixels width - which in my world, is quite well controlled.

Ok - now the test shots...

TEST 1 - OLD CAMERA

- Studio shot; Lightbox with Walimex Portables 300W/s for light sources
- 1/200s -- ISO 100 -- f/7.1 -- 60mm (90mm equivalent)

Not post edited - downscaled using Bicubic Sharper in Photoshop CS3

Not post edited - 100% crop:

Not post edited - 1600% crop:

Test 2 - more 100% crops :)
