You should look at the 47 pages here and ask the same question here in the current thread about the A99ii

a77 for now, I try to rent the a99 whenever I can because it's great, and I'm very eager to try out some of the a7 series

My a900 and Nex-6 have been replaced by a6000 and (again) a700.
The a700 and a100 are there to stay as the last 2 Sony dslr's in use.

Prime camera's are more and more becoming the e-mounts.
So a6000 a.t.m.

I refuse to pick one camera as primary as I do use three cameras quite a lot: α77 II probably gets the most shutter actuations since I use it with telephoto lenses to shoot birds (and occasionally other subjects), while α7R II I carry most frequently and then there are times when my weapon of choice is α99.

Okay.
I went with the a900. That's because over the last 12 months it has been my primary camera.

What caused some reflection is in the last 2 months my primary camera has been the a7R. Partly because I've only had it for two months. Partly because I'm shooting mostly landscapes and travel shots currently, and it fits these needs better.

My main camera is the A900.
It is the best camera I have ever had.
I especially love the viewfinder!
I also love the size of this camera (I am quite tall and therefore have quite large hands).
My nose does not touch the 'joystick' when I look through the viewfinder…

A77ii here... and this pool reminded me that I also have A200 that I haven't seen for over a year now... its funny how fast you forget about things that you borrow to friends.
How small is small?
Well, if it's bigger than 23x16mm, then it is huge!

Make that two. I agree with analytical and had the same thought when I cast my vote. I picked the a99 because that's the one that gets the most use lately, but then there are days when the a77 is needed so that's the primary camera for the day.
But I also think that the one vote only option is a good one and people will select their most used camera, if we allowed two votes it would skew the numbers and make it hard to interpret what people prefer to take to the field.

Um, Analytical, don't you think that maybe you are being a bit too, er, analytical? It's only a survey, not a life insurance form. Just pick one! Nobody will really care if the statistics are out by *one* vote.

EDIT: Okay, maybe *one* person might care

I suspect this has been suggested before, but it would make more sense to me to allow more than one "primary." To me primary means a camera I use almost exclusively. I think of backup as meaning used only when the primary is not unavailable. Or always the second choice.

I use two different models regularly, because each is clearly better for different specific tasks. I do typically shoot more images with one, but I use them equally often, that being almost every day. I think of neither as primary or backup, but rather as assigned different jobs.

I am assuming that the actual interest of the poll is what cameras are in regular use, rather than which one is used "more" even if the difference from number two is small. If that is correct, then more than one primary makes sense. To avoid vastly different interpretations, you could clarify for example that a primary is used at least 25% of the time. Or a different number.
