Not to mention all the ponts du diable / devil's bridges that are scattered around. We have a Grim's dyke in Oxfordshire too.
Thanks for the response: I posted some more photos, mostly drone shots, at https://greyarro.ws/t/the-devils-quoits-stanton-harcourt-oxfordshire/74769. It's interesting to note that altgough the site may be 4-5000 years old, what we see now was reconstructed in the early C21. |

Nice spot Howard. Always amazes me how many of these sites get named after the Devil. Antonine wall here was called `Grims` Dyke after him, theres the devils elbow, beeftub, pulpit, chimney, staircase and countless other ancient manmade or geographical sites and monuments that he gets a mention in.
